  • ACOEM Annual Awards – Nomination Period for 2016 Now Open

    The ACOEM Awards Committee has opened the nomination period for the 2016 Annual ACOEM Awards. Each year, ACOEM recognizes deserving individuals for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the College and the specialty of occupational and environmental medicine (OEM).

    The awards and their criteria are as follows:

    • ACOEM Health Achievement in Occupational Medicine Award. Presented to an ACOEM member for a specific, unique achievement in the field of OEM. ACOEM members may receive this award more than once, but only for completely distinct/separate achievements or service and then only after three (3) years have passed, except under special circumstances approved by the Board after Executive Committee review. ACOEM Officers and Directors are not eligible during their terms of office.

    • ACOEM Meritorious Service Award. Presented to a member who has provided meritorious service to ACOEM. Members may receive this award more than once, but only for completely distinct/separate achievements or service and then only after three (3) years have passed, except under special circumstances approved by the Board after Executive Committee review. ACOEM Officers and Directors are not eligible during their terms of office.

    • Knudsen Lifetime Achievement in OEM Award. Presented to an individual (member or non-member of ACOEM) who has had a distinguished career in one or more disciplines of occupational medicine, environmental medicine, and/or environmental health. This is for a lifetime achievement and as such is only awarded once. ACOEM Officers and Directors are not eligible during their terms of office.

    • Kehoe Award for Excellence in Education or Research in OEM. Presented to an individual (member or non-member of ACOEM) for significant contributions made to academic excellence or research in the disciplines of occupational medicine, environmental medicine, and/or environmental health. This is for a lifetime achievement and as such is only awarded once.  ACOEM Officers and Directors are not eligible during their terms of office.
