American Occupational Health Conference (AOHC® 2009)
Call for Presentations and Scientific Papers
Come to sunny California, for AOHC 2009, the annual American Occupational Health Conference, which will be held from April 26-29, 2009 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. ACOEM is the largest medical society dedicated to promoting the health of workers through preventive medicine, clinical care, research, and education and AOHC is the premier national forum for physicians, policymakers, and other heath care professionals interested in occupational and environmental medicine.
INDIVIDUAL SCIENTIFIC ABSTRACTS: SUBMISSION OPENS JULY 15, 2008
The submission of individual scientific abstracts for presentation for an oral presentation or poster at AOHC 2009 is encouraged. Individual presenters should enter their title and abstract through the website http://aohc2009.abstractcentral.com, beginning July 15, 2008. Individual abstracts will be reviewed by a selection panel and successful papers chosen on the basis of their clarity and quality. AOHC 2009 will have five broad tracks. Submitters of individual abstracts should identify the track that most closely matches the topic of their presentation or poster, so that similar presentations may be assembled appropriately into thematic scientific sessions. The five tracks for AOHC 2009 are:
- OEM Clinical Practice
- Management and Administration in OEM
- OEM Education and Scientific Research
- Environmental Health and Risk Management
- Regulatory, Legal, Military, and Governmental OEM Practice
The deadline for individual scientific abstracts is November 30, 2008.
ACADEMIC ABSTRACTS: SUBMISSION OPENS DECEMBER 15, 2008
Finally, there will be one session for Academic presentations by residents, fellows, and medical students who, by virtue of the nature of the academic year, are not able to submit an abstract by the earlier deadline. These abstracts will also be reviewed by a selection panel and successful papers chosen on the basis of their clarity and quality. Academic presenters should enter their title and abstract through the website http://aohc2009.abstractcentral.com, beginning December 15, 2008. The deadline for academic presentations is January 20, 2009. Submitters of Academic abstracts will be notified concerning acceptance no later than February 6, 2009.
