Ten Environmental Hazards You Can Live Without
This checklist is part of ACOEM’s ongoing commitment to protect the health and safety of workers, workplaces, and their environment and to preserve the environment for future generations.
Ten practical steps that all of us can take home to improve the quality of our indoor environment are detailed in Ten Environmental Hazards You Can Live Without. The two-page checklist focuses on household environmental hazards such as tobacco smoke, radon, asbestos, lead, household chemicals, allergens, pesticides, water pollution, combustion gases, and food poisoning. Take the needed steps to identify hazards and then implement the suggestions for combating these hazards on an everyday basis. The environment does not stop at the walls of our houses and buildings. We need to keep in mind indoor environmental hazards and what to do about them – as well as protecting our outdoor surroundings – not only on Earth Day, but all year long!
