The case studies will include company facts and a description of the AED program, as detailed below. It is intended for these case studies to be available on this webpage by March 2004.

    DESCRIPTION OF AED PROGRAM 

    • How long has your organization had an AED program?
    • Why did your organization decide to implement an AED program?
      Who were the key players that initiated the program?
    • If applicable, how did your organization overcome objections to deploying the program?
    • How was the program developed? Who were key individuals involved?
    • How was the program implemented?
    • What criteria are used to determine where to place the AEDs?
    • What resources are needed for the AED program?
    • Who is trained to respond, and why criteria for selecting these individuals? How often are responders trained?
    • How does your organization educate employees about the AED program?
